The City of Sunrise will host its second annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will take place at Sawgrass Sanctuary, a 20-acre park and environmental learning center just east of Weston Road, near the junction of I-75, I-595 and the Sawgrass Expressway (237 North New River Circle, Sunrise 33326).
The Festival will feature resources for greener living, a farmers' market (new this year!), festival foods, ethnic specialties, and unique and handcrafted goods. There will also be a Kids' Korner with inflatables, face painting, hands-on activities and more.
In addition, this year's event includes a full day of live entertainment:

Randy Kaplan - A fun, blues-y concert for kids

PALO! - Afro-Cuban funk
2:00 p.m.

Ruffhouse - reggae, calypso and soca
4:30 p.m.
Mike Dunn & the Kings of New England - authentic, original Florida roots rock
Festival admission is free! The first 1,000 attendees will receive a Whole Foods Market reusable compact shopping bag, as well as a BPA-free water bottle. The bottle can be refilled throughout the day at the Festival's complimentary Water Station.
